Professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) ensures that high standards are met and maintained. This level of training means that we are able to draw upon a wide number of psychological models to ensure the best therapeutic approach that is tailored to each individual person's needs.

Clinical Psychologists focus on helping you to deal with your current difficulties, which may be mental, emotional or behavioural. Most people are unaware of how their previous developmental and life experiences determine how they manage their lives in the present day.  Patterns of behaviour and responses to situations tend to be repeated, although they might no longer be helpful.   In turn, this can lead to suffering and feelings of being stuck with a loss of hope.

My aim, as a Clinical Psychologist, is to empower you in dealing with your difficulties.  We will do this in part through understanding how they have arisen and by developing new ways of addressing and understanding things in your life.  In turn, this will lead you to find a brighter today with hope for the future and a spring in your step.

Clinical Psychologists are health professionals trained to doctoral level. Psychologists work with people with a wide range of mental health difficulties.  We use talking therapies to help facilitate and promote recovery and to aid a return to optimal levels of functioning.  We are unlike some other talking therapists in that we are subject to compulsory statutory regulation.
